Darkest Before the Dawn

My heart was ripped out,
When it happened I wanted to shout,
Hey what's all this about,
But I just kept quiet,
While inside I was violent,
I was jumping around like a riot,
I just can't take it all,
How the hell can you be so calm,
Inside I'm like a time bomb,
Ready to explode,
When are you dumping the next load,
Just let me se the arming code,
Push that button, watch me go boom,
Just pay attention it'll happen soon,
I'll be thrown into a padded room,
With a combination like a vault,
When it happens tell me it's not your fault,
Make my heart hurt worse with your salt,
In the mean time,
I'm climbing the walls like a vine,
One of these days I'll get mine,
Patience is a virtue,
I ripped up my picture of you,
There really isn't anything you can do,
I don't want you back,
You had your chance,
My heart went black,
Not that you care,
But I wanted to share,
My life with the long curly hair,
But now I don't dare get too close,
Your reality, you gave me a real good dose,
Between you and me I loved you the most,
Now you'er paying the cost,
And seeing the damage you caused,
From my shoulder you feel the frost,
It still hurts inside,
Sometimes I wish I would just die,
What's wrong with me, I'm just a guy.
I guess I was just a pawn,
If I had somewhere else to be I'd be gone,
I guess it is darkest before the dawn.
