Time it came and took me here,

Taking great things that I held dear,

Although I tried I wouldn't cry,

I had to go, I said goodbye.

Now there were things I'd never see,

The things I thought were meant to be,

Here I've moved on,

Old days are gone,

To never be the same,

Yes Time took many things;

My past, my future in its grip,

But I know standing here today,

Things it shall never take away,

My head squeezed to Oma's breast,

The scratchy quilts and sofa bed,

The sailing swing us three abreast,

Lindor chocolates beneath my head,

Her soft white hair swish on my cheek,

Wind and colour whoosh past my face,

Shouts, screams and fists and vodka reek,

Our hands are held for Mallzeit Grace

Both Bad and Good it's here to stay,

All part of me it is today.
