To be a child again
When worries were easily swept away
And our thoughts werent constantly corrupted
By what others had to say
To be that little girl again
Whos' laughter was effortless and true
Not just an illusion of bliss
To mask the things we do
To be innocent again
When doing wrong was never the plan
And we werent consumed by desire or greed
Or what we dont understand
I had it all once
But never did i care
How i hunger for those days
When the complexity of my life was never there
