The end of him
My heart thumped

When I saw it

Even though I had prepared

I wasn’t ready

Who is?

When I peered down
Into the wooden box
And saw his face
His smile,

Eyes closed, blue lips

at peace

at rest

in the Large wooden box

home for one

people  look in

with bloodshot eyes
and red noses
their eyes speak
to say goodbye

forever

their hearts grieving

their minds whirring
wishing, wanting
it wasn’t true
but it was
so it was
the end of him
and the black car
pulled him away

foerever

into the ground

6 feet down
With a name post
And flower bed
Only to be seen

with the last

wet eye

Very Sad indeed... brings back memories I'd rather forget,
but the one is the memories is hard to forget,
i have his name,
without him i wouldnt be,
For him I cried,
For him I pray
To be reunited on the Last Day
