But a Dream...
People whom I've never met
Visit my dreams.
Telling me things I do not want to hear.
But I need to for the end.
Life goes on they say,
And, that it's okay to cry.
Life is, but a dream
Until that special day,
When the angels fly down, and float you away.
Nationalities do not mater
In the land of milk and honey,
Prettier than that Garden of Eden,
That the bible so vividly describes.
Life goes on they say,
One day far away
We'll stand together again.
And praise the Almighty God!
For we are no longer apart.
And, that it's okay to cry
If life is but a dream,
Can it not go my way?
I need your voice departed one.
Can the wind blow it my way?
Life is, but a dream
Again I say my deepest wishes,
From the bottom of my heart,
For me to see your face,
The one I truly love.
Until that special day,
I cry out your parting
When the wind is fierce,
So it will blow your way
For all I can do is love and pray.
When the angels fly down, and float you away
But a Dream…
