a poem of the sadness of life.

I've seen it with my own eyes,

and I can't believe what I'm seeing.

How one gets snared in the tangles of lies,

the tangible, bitter, coldness inside,

imbraced like it's something to believe in.

The fear of the unknown,

never let to be let go,

chewing at the soul,

as it slowly eats it.

Willfully blind,

in the spirit and mind,

confused on where we go,

when we finely are leaving.

Focused on what we are seeing,

searching for purpose and meaning,

only watching what we want,

few want what they are needing.

Degrading those who's hearts are warm,

wanting them gone,

so they can watch themselves bleeding.

Chewing on what is hard to swallow,

like a infant teething,

silently screaming,

resenting that the flood,

has drowned out the desire for dreaming.

Sinking in the swamps of sadness,

in a constant state of greaving....

But I'm going on..... and this time I mean it!
