My love for you is great,

Far greater then you can understand,

Truth be told, you misunderstand me.

Shame causes you to hide your self,

and your mistakes.

What kind of father would I be,

if all I want to do was punish you,

for things your nature forces you to do?

I do not expect you to be perfect,

I just want you to trust me, to love me,

and to respect me.

When you fail on your tests, I am not angry.

I just want you to try harder, to want to do better.

Perfection has long left this world.

What ever you do in life, you will do it better,

KNOWING that your daddy loves you,

you can get up faster when life knocks you down,

when you trust that I love and support you

and that I am willing to help no matter what you do.

If you steal, rape, or murder you can not lose my love.

When everything is said and done,

the family that sticks together, stays together.

Do no EVER be afraid to talk to me,

do not EVER be afraid to ask for my help,

and do not EVER think that I do not want you,

or wold EVER disown someone who calls me father.

If you could only understand my love for you.

I love you.

Love,

Your father
