My Name Is Jenni

Poetry By: zadudet1
Memoir

Stop calling me names. Stop hurting me. Siblings shouldn't hurt each other this way. Just let me be me.

My Name Is Jenni

Does it make you feel good

When you push me down?

Does it make you feel better

When you say those things?

Don't you know that it hurts me?

Don't you understand the pain

That I feel is sometimes too much?

Can you not see the pain in my eyes?

You're fat, you're ugly, no one likes you.

All problems are because of you.

You sound like a man, no one loves you.

You're name is Jonas, I own you.

Let me tell you something:

I can feel, I'm real too and I'm tired

Of listening to you say those horrible things.

If you don't like me, then back off.

I am who I am no matter what.

I'm me if I'm fat or ugly.

I'm me if I cause problems

I'm me if I sound like a man.

You may be related to me,

But I'm not afraid anymore.

You cannot control me

And my name is Jenni.
