PART 1
7:27 AM Central Time: Teara's House: Iowa City
"Teara! Get ready to go!" I yelled up the stairs. We were going to be late again if she took much longer.
"Hold on!"
I sat on the couch looking at my watch. 7:28...and counting...
"Teara!"
"I'm coming!" she snapped.
"We'd better not miss the bus again!" I yelled back at her.
Teara bounced down the stairs and pushed a battered paperback into my hands.
"Read this."
I looked at the cover. Two snow white hands extended, offering me to take a bite of a blood red apple. I groaned in mock disgust as I saw the shimmering title, "Twilight! I told you I wouldn't read Twilight until it was unpopular!"
"Well," she bargained, "It's un popular now so you can read it."
"Fine." I stopped arguing.
We both glanced at the clock. It read 7:31.
"SHOOT! WE'RE GOING TO MISS THE BUS!" we screamed as we dashed out the door.
Little did I know that once I bit that little red apple, there would be no going back.
PART 2
I read the book on the bus. The first five pages were good, despite being mediocre. Then I got to Edward. I stopped reading just as we got to our destination.
"Teara, this is a really good book!" I exclaimed as I read on the way down the sidewalk towards school.
"I know. Just you wait though."
PART 3
After School: In which a very foolish girl gets $40 worth of books: And reads it in a matter of hours.
"Mom! I need to go to the library!" I yelled as I climbed into our Toyota.
"Why?"
"Books. Must. Read. Second. Agony!" I gasped as I clutched Teara's tattered copy to my chest. I wouldn't let go. I had actually scratched my self to bleeding point during lunch because I couldn't bring it into the lunch line AND THE LINE WAS EXTREMELY SLOW!
"Okay."
When we got to the library I ran in as she tried to find a parking spot. I raced to the computers.
"T-W-I-L-I-G-H-T" I spelled out slowly as I typed it.
The book came up. That didn't help...
"N-E-W M-O-O-N"
Out of copies.
And the waiting list was really long!
"E-C-L-I-P-S-E"
Still copies, but in a dwindilng number and I needed to read the second book first! I thought I was going to cry.
I called my mother who was still looking for a parking spot.
"I'll take you to prarielights..." she muttered.
PART 4
I walked into prarie lights and down to the children's books.
It wasn't there! I looked madly around.
"Excuse me? Do you have a copy of New moon?" I asked the lady at the desk
"Blue Moon?"
"New Moon."
"Yes they are over there." She pointed at a bookshelf in the corner, covered in books. I could see the tulip and ribbon from here. I rushed over.
My phone went off.
"Hello?" I asked breathlessly, my hands closing on a copy.
"Where are you?" It was my dad.
"At Prarie Lights!"
"Where in Prarie Lights?"
"The bacement!"
I heard footsteps echoing down. There came my mother and father. They saw me near the two books, clutching a hard cover copy of New Moon; the only kind they had.
"Justine. Just get both." My mother sighed. She gestured towards Eclipse. I nearly fainted with releif. I would get both now!"
PART 5
I ran -almost sprinted- up to my room.
"I'll come down for dinner!" I yelled, and slammed the door shut.
I ate away at New Moon, only stopping once and forcing myself to go through the middle. It hurt to not skip, to not find happier parts. But I needed to read this through.
Dinner came and passed. I ate quickly, and dashed back up to my room, finishing the novel a few minutes later.
I moved on to Eclipse.
It was 12:45:23 when I finished the last book. I sighed in contentment. I had done it. I had finished the Twilight Series.
With vampires and werewolves in my dreams, I settled down to sleep, ignoring the fact that I had Tae Kwon Do the next morning. That could go to hell for all I cared. All I cared about now, was the fact that Bella and Edward were happy; and that someday...
I would be a vampire too...
