Know one could ever guess in a Million Years what happened NEXT?????
Excitement flowed through the air, Even though the event to unfold was not a joyous occasion it was unique one at that.
We had all arranged to have a pre funeral dinner with all the family together for the first time in a long time all in honour of our dear sister Karen, whom we know if had of been there in body would of enjoyed the occasion as she loved family gatherings, however I am sure she was looking down from above feeling very proud of her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, brothers sisters very close friends Dave and of cause my dear mum.
24 of us sat down scattered amongst 2 tables, everyone chatted and made the best of what we could under the reasons we had all gathered, my mum said a few words, blessing the children she had left and a small prayer for Karen,
It was still difficult to understand why some one so young should just die when all life has to offer now in reflection to the heart.
It was about 10pm and with tomorrow being the day of the funeral (Mon 26th Jan)
We all started to depart Neil and lee decided to go off to My sister in laws Liz with all the other nieces and nephews, which meant Myself my mum Sonja my eldest sister and John her husband all drove back to my house me driving as I had not had anything to drink,
Sonja put the kettle on John turned on the TV mum sat on the settee and I decided to iron a shirt for Neil, while I was ironing I got a slight pain and went to the kitchen to get some Galveston as I thought it was a little bit of interjestion,
I finished the shirt and pressed his trousers and the pain in my chest got more painful Sonja took a closer look and rang 999, the medics arrived and low and behold I was having a heat attack, I do not remember a lot only returning in and out of continuous Sonja phoned my Sons who came home ASAP with Frances and Liz, after 20 minutes they had managed to sedate me enough to drive me under blue light to A&E,
Neil and Lee told me it was the worst nightmare of there life, and many of my family could not comprehend what was happening,
I was not aloud to go to Karen’s funeral, later that morning and have spent the last 2 weeks in hospital having tests and recovering, and pleased to say I am here to fight another day, and did not join my sister that day.
