Name: Alyssa
my first love is horses. especially arabian horses. i have six :).
the wind of heaven is that which blows between a horse's ears. - old arabian proverb
i write poetry, but i cant sit down and say, "oh, i think i should write a poem". they come to me usually when i am really upset.
it sounds weird but i like writing essays too. i use parenthetical expressions too much, especially in essays.
i am aweful when it comes to grammer. my grammatical skills sucks (to put it oh so eloquently).
im a sucker for old novels :) no one really writes in the descriptive enchanting form that they used to.
a pair of blue eyes, far from the maddening crowd, return of the native, gone with the wind, pride and prejudice, the divine comedy, the scarlet letter, the oedipus cycle, just to name a few.
i hate romeo and juliet. they both deserved to die. if you ask me why ill take the time to explain why.
to be exact all of shakespeares, "tragic heros" are pathetic, but i did like the tradagey of julius caesar :)
i like poets such as robert frost (cliche i know), T.S. Eliot, E.J. Pratt, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Kahil Gibran, etc.etc.
to understand the heart and mind of a person look not at what he has acheived but at what he aspires too. -kahil gibran
