This is a poem I wrote. It was inspired by just another...

I am in highschool and love to write. Writing runs in my family, and also fuels what drives me. I keep a Moleskine (which I recommend everyone else keeping) because random lines will pop into my head and if I don't write them down, I forget them.

I'm very sensitive to people and stereotypes around me, as I feel I can easily pick up on them. This is another thing that keeps me writing. I recently read the novel Caucasia by Danzy Senna. It's about two bi-racial sisters growing up in Boston in the 1970's. It has dramatically opened up my view on the world, and that is now one of the main reasons I write more than I used to; because of Caucasia.

I don't really know what I'm "supposed" to do in life. I don't know what life is trying to tell me sometimes. I don't know which crowd to be with. Sometimes, I just like to say, "screw it all." I don't know what I identify as, what my sexual orientation is. I guess I'll just find out with time.

Please enjoy the pieces I have posted here on Booksie. Some of them are older, some of them I could've written the day before. Feel free to leave compliments or constructive criticism, just no words that are meant to be felt. By that, no words that are feeling like I am getting punched in the stomach or receving a knock to the head.
