How I felt as a child knowing I was adopted.

My Links

I am a single parent with three kids. I grew up in Liverpool, where I was adopted as a child.

At 16 I left my home town and moved into a hostel in Birmingham. I count my blessings for the kindness of complete strangers who took me under their wing. To them I owe everything. My life could of took a very different path left to my own devices!

I was lucky enough to get a placement scheme almost straight away. Which was the begin of many years working with disadvantaged teenagers.

I got married at 18, way, way too young. No regrets though because it gave me my three kids.

Life as a single mum has meant that i have done every job imaginable to provide for them. My children have all now left school though none of them have any intentions of leaving home this century.

Along with the usual rigors of life I spent 20 years searching for my birth mum and my identity. My search ended a year ago when I found her.

As the saying goes, when one door closes another opens. Well I'm now going through the door of coming to terms with everything the search unearthed.

Ive reached the point now where i am doing what i want to do. My writing. I'm loving it. Writing has been my best friend and confidant though out my life.

I hope Ive given you a brief insight into my life but if anyone wants to ask me any questions then just say and i will do my best to answer you.
