If anyone is interested in finding a beta reader, I'm taking requests now. I'm open to pretty much anything; it's very rare for me to deny a story because of the content area.

Beta Process: Once the you send me what you want edited, I will look it over and let you know if I'm interested. Then, I'll rewrite it with spelling, grammar, and the overall plot in mind. I won't change it too much, and the meaning of everything will stay intact (i.e. I will rephrase and rearrange sentences if necessary, but the original meaning will not change and it will say essentially the same thing). I'll also give feedback about how I think the story is going. The editing process usually takes me a few days. I will try to get back the edited version to you in no longer than a week, but I'll let you know if it will take longer than that for any reason. If there's anything specific you're looking for as far as the editing process, ask me and I'll let you know if I can do it.

My strong points are spelling and grammar. My essay, Into the Light, is evidence of this. One of my dreams is to be an editor. My only real weakness is in providing plot suggestions, but I'll do my best if that's something you want me to help you with.

I believe in constructive criticism, so whenever I have tips or suggestions for you, I'll let you know in a sensitive, nice (but still helpful) way. I don't sugarcoat anything, but I'm not mean or terribly harsh, either.

I would love to be your beta!

REQUESTS

I will not do poetry. I don't believe in any sort of standards as far as poems go; they're meant to be a free form of expression. I will not do scripts, either. I'm not comfortable enough with them to edit them. I don't mind mature content, but I won't do anything too racy.

Novels/Books: I will only do ONE of these at a time.

I'm not currently editing any, so it's first come, first served.

Short Stories/Articles/Essays/Misc.: Until further notice, there is no limit on how many of these I'll do.

To make a request, email me at salladallasallad@gmail.com. (This is how all beta-related contact will be conducted.) Send what you want edited as an attachment. If you want me to look at anything beyond spelling and grammar, let me know. For novels, include a short description of the story and a rough estimate of how long it will be. I don't mind lengthy stories; I just want some idea of what I'm dealing with.

Hey, guys! I'm Dallas.

I'm always surprised at what happens when I put pen to paper. I view writing as a learning experience.

Photography is one of my hobbies. I'm still an amateur, but I'm learning as I go. (And yes, I did take this picture.)

I'm going to be a clinical psychologist one day. I love talking to people and giving them advice, even if I don't know them. I'm a pretty great listener.

Of course, you can learn almost everything there is to know about me through my writing. I'm more honest on paper than I'll ever be out loud, so if you really want to get to know me, all you have to do is look to the left at my writing portfolio.
