According to reports, Ash Fanassa left the house at 11:07pm on Thursday and did not come home after that. At exactly 8:25pm yesterday, a message arrived at the spy station which says that the country must hand over nuclear power plant in order to save her life.
"It's too risky," said the prime minister during an interview "we can't just hand over so much power for one kid."
"I don't know what to do," famous spy, Klear says "I love my daughter very much. I can't let anyone hurt her. But I can't give away the nuclear plant! I don't know how to save her."
Police as well as the best spies, including Klear himself, are investigating on this case and are trying their best to find out as much as possible about the girl's whereabouts. Meanwhile, the-
"Evan!" Bryant said loudly, banging his fist on the paper.
I turned to look at him.
"What?" I snapped.
Bryant smiled. "I've never seen you enjoying the newspaper so much." He said.
I smiled too. "Our girl is on the headlines. Everyone's looking for her. Read it." I said, holding out the newspaper to him.
Bryant took it from my hand and started reading. I took another sip of my coffee and leaned back against the chair, waiting for my breakfast.
"Huh," Bryant said, reading the paper. Then he turned to the chef.
"What are you making?" he asked him.
"Oh...um…I'm making a steak for sir. Would you like something?"
Bryant shook his head in reply.
"No thanks. But do me a favor and make a cheese sandwich, some chocolate milk and slice a banana, will you?"
"Yes, sir," he replied.
I turned to give Bryant a surprised look.
"I attached a live kitchen to my dining room to enjoy and you order a cheese sandwich? Eat whatever you want, my friend." I said.
Bryant nodded, smiling.
"I've already had breakfast," he said "this is for Ash."
I raised my eyebrows.
"I'm giving her a healthy breakfast." He went on "Now cheese, bread, fruits and milk are essential for a growing child. I'm making sure she gets all the required energy for proper functioning of the body. Ash has just recovered from an illness so her body is very weak at this time. I-"
"Okay, okay," I interrupted "Just don't waste too much of my food on her."
Bryant turned back to the paper and raised his eyebrows.
"Says here today is Ash's birthday," he said, smiling and lowering the paper.
"Whatever," I groaned.
"We should wish her. Come on," Bryant said, standing up.
"Please, Bryant. She is scared of me and I'd like to keep it that way." I replied.
"Oh, come on! Just a wish won't hurt."
"Really? Well just a birthday party won't hurt either! How about I give her a gold watch for her birthday? Why don't I just invite all her friends and family to a birthday party? I'll tell them 'Hey, your daughter is a hostage but since it's her birthday, all of you can come over at my place and eat out of my hands'! What is the matter with you? The girl is not your concern!" I screamed, standing up.
Bryant glared at me. Then he turned his back and walked away.
"Stop," I screamed, running behind him.
But I was too late. He reached the room, unlocked the door and stormed inside. I walked in behind him.
The girl was sitting on the bed, looking out of the window. Bryant sat down beside her and wrapped an arm around her.
"Happy birthday," he said, smiling.
The girl looked right at him and her cheeks turned a baby pink colour. She smiled in reply and then leaned against him.
"Thanks." She whispered, closing her eyes. Shaking my head, I walked over and waved my hand in front of her face.
"Shoo," I screamed at her "get back. Back off!"
She backed away and Bryant glared at me.
"What are you doing?" I cried to him "Are you out of your mind?"
Bryant shook his head and stood up.
"Why?" he whispered "Why does hurting others make you happy?"
"I'm telling you. She is none of your concern." I replied.
"Yes, she is my concern! And you know why? Because if I wasn't around, you would have already killed her by now." He screamed.
"I will kill her whether you stay around or not." I screamed even louder "Even if Klear does hand me the nuclear power plant, I will still kill her. That's my plan. She will die anyway. I will kill her in the end with my own hands."
Bryant gasped. From behind, the girl's eyes went wide.
I glared at Bryant for a minute then I started to march out of the room.
"You're mentally ill." A voice suddenly screamed from behind me.
I turned around to see the girl sitting up. Her cheeks were bright red and there was fear in her eyes but she spoke bravely.
"What did you just say?" I murmured, taking a step towards her.
"You're depress and mentally ill," she replied "so you like taking away others' happiness. I hate you."
I walked close to her.
"I'll warn you once," I replied through clenched teeth "Shut up now or else I'll make you."
The girl groaned but didn't even flinch. Her nostrils flared as she continued to glare at me.
"Leave me alone," she said "I'm not afraid of you."
I grabbed the collar of her shirt and pulled her closer to me.
"Not afraid?" I whispered "Then I'll just make you."
I pulled back my hand and slapped her across the face with all my energy. Then I grabbed a fistful of her short hair and started pulling it. The girl screamed with pain as she helplessly tried to loosen my grip.
"Are you afraid yet?" I roared, pulling harder. The girl screamed even louder.
"Lemme go!" She screeched in reply.
I let go of her hair but then punched her across the face. She fell back and groaned with pain. Her cheek was completely red, her hair was messed up and a trickle of blood came out of her nose.
"Afraid yet?" I said, smiling and admiring my work.
The girl coughed and spluttered in reply. I turned my back on her and started to walk away. I saw Bryant run up to the girl. As I started to leave, I saw my chef standing in front of me. I raised my eyebrows when I saw his face. He stood there just holding a plate.
"Sir, your steak is ready. And I also brought breakfast for her." He said sheepishly, holding out a plate of a cheese sandwich, a banana and a cup of chocolate milk.
