Part of an undated interview with Joshua Andrews:
"It's been fifty years. I've counted the days. Eighteen thousand two hundred and thirty-eight days. Fifty years exactly, since I burned a small village down. East Scissors, my hometown. My earlier home, before I was roughly removed, and put into this metal cage. Fifty Years. I'm too old to do any harm, why do they still insist on keeping me in here? Death sentence. They really mean it, when they say that. My everyday life hasn't changed during the last fifty years. My understanding of time disappeared around thirty-three years ago. I wake up every day, and expect to see myself, when I look in the mirror. And every morning, it's some old geezer who stares at me with tired, red eyes."
