we were in the basement for days, it seemed like, though i wasnt really sure, in the dark you lose all sense of time. aiden and i had been locked in, what i assumed was, a storage closet. boxes of food were everywere and i took the liberty of helping myself, and aiden, to whatever appealed to us. i was worried though that eventually it would run out and then what would we do? i heard voices frequently and i had distinguished max's and kendra's, so i assumed they must live here. i wondered if kendra knew we were down here.
i thought it was getting late when i heard music thumping from upstairs one day, another party.
i help aiden close to me and told him to go to sleep.
suddenly i heard a door open and someone creaking down the stairs.
"dude, i bet theres more beer down here," i heard the voice yell up the stairs.
he opened the storage closet, it locked from the outside, and suddenly i was staring up at one of my former classmates.
"holy..." he whispered loudly, realizing he wasn't alone.
