They Had "No Idea" It Was Stolen

By Elton Camp

These days, it is especially nice

To find an item at a bargain price

A half-price car Reginald got

But had to meet in a parking lot

"Cash only," the seller did say

He'd mail the car title right away

An advertisement for rings Meg spied

Right there in the newspaper classified

She had to drive into the country rather far

To see jewelry from the trunk of his car

The prices were simply incredible, though

She bought several items and was on the go

A sixty-inch flat screen television set

For only fifty bucks, Joe was able to get

It was delivered in an old, beat-up truck

Joe simply couldn't believe his luck

The stolen items the police confiscated

Thus, the "bargains" they much hated

When word of the buys the cops got

All said, "We had no idea it was hot!"

Suspicious circumstances they had to see

To such purchases should never agree
