I pulled the curtains open wide, saw sunset in the rainbow sky
I rubbed my eyes there and then, I saw birds cheerily awakening.
They screeched and squawked, to greet the day.
From tree to tree, they met others on their way
Early morning foraging to feed their young
As cheerfully they sing their song.
The sunset in the rainbow sky, has many questions as do I
Is there truth that love does exist?
Can there ever be happiness, bliss?
Or is it like a cologne or a wisp of a kiss.
Can the sunset in the sky answer this?
The sunset in the rainbow sky, blinded me momentarily as I stared up high.
Yet like a magnet I was drawn, to the sunset on this early morn
The trees that stood so very tall, seemed to bow with respect
To the sunset and all.
