There is some chaos as maids and servants run around with varieties of objects in their hands.
Some people may be carrying trays or nothing.
Three maids run upstairs with clothes in their hands.
They are GABBY, MADDIE, and TRISH.
GABBY
Hurry now! The master will shortly wake up.
MADDIE
He would want to be dressed.
The girls enter a room and then stand in a line in front of a bed.
The man is already sitting up with a wide grin.
He is JOE the billionaire.
JOE
Hello, girls. Good morning.
GABBY
I’m so sorry we’re late sir. There’s chaos downstairs and everyone--.
JOE
Oh, I know. Are you the new employee?
TRISH
Yes, I am. I’m Trish.

JOE laughs weirdly.
TRISH
What’s a name you prefer to go by? So, I know how to address you?
JOE
I like the name Dennis. But Dennis is not my name. I also like the name Luke. But that too is not my name. Some people call me master but that’s too cocky. My name is Joe but that is not formal enough.
JOE laughs weirdly again.
JOE
I guess you should address me by my last name.
There is a long pause.
TRISH
W-what’s that?
JOE’S eyes widen at TRISH.
JOE
Who am I? I am whom? What’s my name?
TRISH

(Afraid) I’m new sir. I was hired here by no choice. You pay the money that I need.
The other maids stare at TRISH.
JOE looks like he is about to yell but then he laughs weirdly again.
A servant enters and pushes past the maids.
He is ROBERT.
ROBERT
I am so sorry. Everyone is preparing for your perfect birthday.
ROBERT pulls the covers off JOE. JOE smiles awkwardly at TRISH.
JOE
My name is Joe Henderson. That is my name and do not be afraid.
ROBERT
Mr. Henderson is a friendly man.
GABBY
When he wants to be nice he will. He chooses to be nice like all of us.
MADDIE
Kind he is mostly.
The maids turn away as JOE gets dressed.
The picture is on the maids faces. JOE still talks.

I’ve been known as a rather testy man. Some people may call me weird or cocky. Let me put those rumors to rest. They are all true. I am and I admit it.
TRISH
You’ve already proven yourself as a weird man.
JOE
You can now look ladies.
The maids turn back around to face JOE.
JOE
How do I look girls?
GABBY
Ravishing master.
MADDIE
More than handsome.
TRISH
Your tie is not straight. Let me fix it for you.
TRISH goes up to the billionaire and straightens his tie.
JOE slaps TRISH’S hand away after she is done.
JOE
I am a person with a strict no touching rule!
JOE laughs weirdly.
