"TO THE LEFT, TO THE LEFT, TO THE RIGHT, TO THE RIGHT, NOW KICK AND KICK, THEN WALK OUT YOURSELF…." Mountains of pumps, sandals, boots, pointy toes and booties were stacked high upon each other while all the women and children danced. Even the gorgeous bride wearing a one of a kind bridal gown with an intricate floral lace design riding up the sides, was busting a move on the dance floor. As the song ended Vanessa, veil in hand, ran across the dance floor to best friend Chrissy.
"Hold this girl I gotta lose these panty hose, this s*** is so far up my a**, I can't even feel my crack anymore." Vanessa exclaimed as she handed Chrissy her veil.
"You are just too much for me sometimes, speaking of too much sometimes, where's Brian." Chrissy questioned
"Oh, he stepped out to the bathroom, his Aunt Mary, the one who
tinkles when she laughs, pissed all over him." She
"Hahahaha, what the h-" (You'll find us chasing the sun)
"Hole up girl I gotta message."
WE'RE GOING TO PLAY A GAME.
IM GOING TO GIVE YOU A CLUE AND YOU'RE GOING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IT MEANS OR….
HE'S MISSING BUT HE'S RIGHT THERE
HE'SWEET AND BLOODY
YOU'LL FIND HIM WHERE SHE IS BUT NOT BEFORE SHE DOES.
"W- What?" Chrissy asked
"I said I'm funna go and cut the cake girlie, lets go!" Vanessa repeated.
"What about Brian?"
"He's probably still in the bathroom cleaning up, so I'll just do it by myself."
"Maybe you should wa-"
"Hello, everyone can I have your attention its time for me to cut the cake, I'll be doing it by myself while Brian is in the bathroom cleaning up." Vanessa with Chrissy right by her side grabbed the knife and made the first cut into the life-sized 4-tiered cake. As she finished cutting the cake and was pulling away the knife a drop of something red fell on her dress.
"Ugh, what is that smell?" Chrissy asked. But instead of answering her question Vanessa began clawing through the cake until she reached the center, where a special present was supposed to be hidden for her from Brian, instead she found a bloody maimed Brian, with no eyes. As the smiling faces of relatives, friends, and confused children turned to pure horror, a faint sound could be heard from a single cell phone, indicating that Chrissy had received a message.
I WARNED YOU AND NOW YOU'VE RUINED YOUR BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING. LET'S KEEP PLAYING
I CAN'T SEE HE SAID
OPEN YOUR EYES I SAID
IM TRYING BUT I CAN'T FEEL THEM
WHERE IS YOUR EYES MAN?
"Dammit, what the f*** is wrong with you, Brian is dead and you're TEXTING!" Vanessa shouted.
"Im sorry, but it could have been my baby; look I'm here and im funna help you through this. Everyone listen I know you're all scared and confused but, I have to ask that yall shut the hell up, thank you. Now, I need all the older women to grab the children and move them away from the scene, Im going to need you servers down there to supply our guests with some food and drinks to comfort them, everyone just stay calm. And will someone please get the bride a drink!" Chrissy commanded. As everyone began following Chrissy's orders, she grabbed Vanessa's hands and escorted her to bar, and walked away.
"Where are you going?" Vanessa yelled after her.
"I got some business to handle, don't worry im not leaving" Chrissy replied.
"Aye bartender I'll have a whiskey on the rocks, and make it a double." Chrissy walked right up to the destroyed cake and studied Brian's body. Hmmm, no ropes burns around the neck, or lacerations, no struggle at all, so how the h- oh my. On the back of Brian's head was a hole the size of a fist.
"What the hell?" Chrissy exclaimed as she started investigating the hole in Brian's head, but was interrupted by a whole new wave of screaming, and then a thud. When she looked up Vanessa was passed out on the floor her, with glass lying next to her. She ran to her best friend, and that's when she noticed the eyeball in Vanessa's hand.
"Where's the other eyeball?" She questioned the bartender.
"She umm, umm she, she ate it."
"Excuse me, are you Chrissy Jackson?"
"Ugh, what now, yea that's me."
"Im special agent Morris, I'm here about the body in the cake, I've already questioned the rest of the wedding party and sent them home. My guys and I will take the body an-"
"Look I know your process alright, but there's no need I've checked the body and found two misconnections. Can you get a few EMT's for my friend here?" Chrissy interrupted.
"What happened to her?" Agent Morris questioned
"She passed out when she found her groom's eyeballs in her drink." She replied.
"Ummm, you said 'eyeballs', but there's only one where's the other eyeball?"
"She ate it."
"Alright if you wanna talk, we can talk over there, if not I have to get my friend home and help her throw up her husband's eye."
"Right this way, then." Agent Morris said as he led her across the room to a secluded table.
"Okay, when exactly did you notice that the groom was gone?" He questioned.
"As soon as Vanessa came running off the dance floor, I noticed he wasn't with her." She responded. As they continued the interrogation, Chrissy became more and more aware of the text messages she had been receiving, that led up to these events. She was involved in some sick twisted game that would only get worse by the text.
"NO, IM DONE I TOLD YOU I WAS THROUGH THE LAST TIME WE DID THIS. YOU CAN'T KEEP MANIPULATING ME, IM A HUMAN NOT YOUR PUPPET!" Darwin screamed.
"This is the last time we're, I mean I'm going to make you do this again. I'm sorry I know how you feel about the family business." Maribel calmly replied.
"FAMILY BUISNESS!? NO, THIS IS ALL YOU. YOU'RE AS PSYCHOTIC, AS THEY ALL SAID. I can't believe I let you out.
"If you have no further questions Special Agent Morris, I'd like to take my friend and go home now." Chrissy said.
"I have no further questions, but you will be hearing from me soon Ms. Jackson." He replied. Chrissy grabbed her purse, and held Vanessa's arm to steady her as they walked out to the car, headed to Vanessa's house.
"There's something about her, like she's hiding something, hmmmm." Agent Morris mumbled, as he walked out back scribbling on his notepad.
Chrissy pulled up behind Vanessa's car, and that's when the hysterics hit. Vanessa went into shock, first she started having a shaking fit, then she began sobbing uncontrollably, Chrissy barely got her out of the car and into the house. When they finally entered Vanessa's house Chrissy shed Vanessa of her bloody wedding gown, sat her on the bar stool, and fixed her, her favorite drink, sex on the beach.
"Here boo drink this; it'll make you feel better." Chrissy said as she handed Vanessa the drink. She swallowed it in one breath.
"Damn, let's get you into bed."
"Will you stay with me tonight?" Vanessa asked.
"I'll be here with you always, boo." Chrissy answered as she helped Vanessa up the stairs and into her bed.
"Goodnight, boo" Chrissy whispered.
"But I'm not tired." Kevin responded.
"Jesus Christ Kevin, what the hell are you doing here?" Chrissy asked.
"Ms. Vanessa said I could stay here until her and Brian came back from their honeymoon. Is it over already?" Kevin asked as he followed her into the kitchen.
"No, ummm Brian is dead and now Ms. Vanessa will need some time."
"And so you want me to go back on the street, don't you?" Kevin questioned.
"No, it's not that, its jus-" Knock-Knock
"Ima get that, you stay here this is not over" Chrissy said as she went to answer the door.
"Sorry, to come over so late at night, but I got a few more questions for you Ms. Jackson." Special Agent Morris explained.
"Come on in, Special Agent Morris have a seat on the couch, I'll just be a minute. Kevin, we'll have to finish this conversation later, just go on up to bed." Chrissy said.
"Yea, whatever goodnight." Kevin responded.
"Night, alright Mr. Morris lets get this over with."
"First, who's the kid?"
"Kevin is just a homeless child that Vanessa saved from the streets."
"What's your real name?"
"I don't know what you're talking about Mr. Morris; my name is and will always be Chrissy Jackson."
"Really, because I did a search on Chrissy Jackson and you're sure as hell ain't her. Chrissy Jackson died 3 years ago, but her information was kept alive for some reason. So I'll ask you again, what is your real name?" Special Agent Morris said. Chrissy looked at Agent Morris through thick lashes, eyes shielded she responded.
"Victoria Kippliney, better known as THE VIPER."
"I've heard of you. You were the infamous triple agent; you saved every president from the last 5 terms, smuggled 56 M.I.A. agents from across enemy lines. Twenty-six successful combat missions, four dictators taken out, and thirty-four double agents detected. You've lived quite a life, Ms. Kippliney."
"I'm flattered but, that part of my life is over, now I am simply Chrissy Jackson, not deadly assassin Victoria Kippliney." Chrissy replied.
"I can respect that, but this case, it's not the first, the truth is this is the 22nd case like yours."
"You mean where the groom has died, and was stuffed into the cake, with his eyes cut out?" Chrissy questioned.
"No, I mean mysterious text messages perceiving the events of a death." Agent Morris replied.
"How did you know about that?" Chrissy asked suspiciously eyeing Agent Morris.
"We checked your phone records, but the point is we could use your help with this case we could finally discover whose been behind all of these murders." Agent Morris responded.
"I'll consider it, if that's all you have to ask me, then im going to have to ask you to leave it's late and I'm tired."
"I understand, and I should be going, Goodnight Ms. Jackson" Agent Morris said as he walked out the door.
"Goodnight Agent Morris." Chrissy locked the door, turned down all the lights, checked on Kevin, who was sound asleep, went into Vanessa's room, climbed in the bed, and went straight to sleep.
"How did it go?" Maribel asked Darwin as he got back in the car.
"She thinks I'm a Special Agent, and you were right she isn't Chrissy Jackson. She's the deadly assassin Victoria Kippliney." Darwin replied.
"Of course she's not Chrissy, I knew Chrissy back when we were flight attendants. How did you figure she's a deadly assassin?" Maribel asked.
"When she told me her name, they did a special story on her in the FBI Files, apparently everyone high up in the government were and are still looking for her." Darwin answered starting the car.
"Hmmmm." Maribel mumbled.
"So, what's our next move?"
