It was 7:45am tuesday morning. My mom was sick and wanted me to go to the store to buy her some soup. I put on my clothes, got the money, and headed out the door. It was really cold and foggy outside. I started walking toward the store. A while later a sudden burst of air came and i heard leaves crunch behind me. I looked behind me and saw a figure standing some distance. I couldnt make the figure out but it had something sharp in its hand. A knife. I turned back around and walked faster. Moments later i heard the crunching again and turned around. There was the figure. I turned back around and ran all the way to the store. I ran inside without looking back. I spent some time in the store afraid the figure was just outside. Finally I got the soup and headed outside. I looked around not seeing anything so I walked out huridly. Feeling calm i walked slower. A sudden burst of wind came from behind me and i was afraid to look back but i did. The figure was standing there now with two things in each of his hands. A knife in one and a hammer in the other. I ran home as fast as i could. When i got home i locked all the doors and relaxed. I slowly waslked into my mothers room only to find an emty bed. I heard a noise in the closet. Scared but brave i opened it. My mom was tied up and fell on me. I gave a little yelp. Her head was dented up and there was a knife in her heart. She was dead. I started to cry. Was i next? I lay by her side cold and helpless awaiting my own death.
