1997, deonna bishop was pregnet with her new born daugther Makaya bishop. one day she went into walmart
get thigs for the baby. she saw this guy named james. James gave deonna his number. he told her to give him a call one day
Deonna went home and forgot all about calling him. one day when she went washing she found his number and one of her pants
pockets and decided to give him a call. she called he picked up. they talked for hours and decided to meet each other for
dinner. they ened up at a hotel. they spent the night there. after that they dated for atlease two years. Makaya was then
two years old. she was a little pretty cute girl. she loved to play with toys. deonna moved in with james. they were happy.
then things started to change. James wanted to have kids of his own by deonna. deonna wasnt ready for any kids yet. james
got upset that she said that. they started to have an arguement about it . james got so mad that he swung and hit her right
in the face. he apoligized to her and hug her and gave her a kiss. deonna woke up the next morning with a black eye.
deonna's mother came by that morning to visit. she asked deonna what happened to her eye. deonna lied to her mother and
told her that makaya was playing around and hit me in the eye a cup. her mother knew that makaya couldn't have done that
to deonna's eye with a cup. hours passed and deonna's mother left.
months passed and james told deonna he wanted to get
married and she said not yet. james got reallymad at her and hit her with a crow-bar up side her head. he started to
constanly beat her with it. that very next morning around 2:00 A.M deonna started to hurt on her sides. she called
the police they came and questioned her. she didnt wanna tell the truth becuase she was afarid james would beat her
again. deonna told the police that she fell down the stairs. the police told her the marks on her was impossbile
to get from falling down the stairs.she didnt know that else to say so she froze. the police took her to the
hospitle and got her cured. she was back at the house the nexxt day. james wanted deonna to get something for
him and if she didnt move quick enough he would beat her. deonna tried to get away from atlease five times.
he of course beat her for it. one time she and makaya moved and he found out were she moved to and he broke
makaya's bed room window.deonna woke up and went into makaya's room she knew that it was james that had
broken the window in makaya's room. she seeled th window up with super glue and wood. she put makaya
in the room with her and they went to sleep.
the next morning deonna woke up and james was right in her
face just looking at her. she was so scard she didnt know what she was going to do. she thought she was
going to die so she started bursting into tears. he held her mouth untill she stopped crying. he stayed
there fro days.then months came by and deonna was born with a little boy named michale. when the baby
was bon he stopped beating her for a while and then he started doing it again. then about two years
later they had another little baby it was a girl named mia. james stopped beating her and he started again.
a year later deonna hd another little girl named maya. The kids were getting older so james stop hitting
on deonna.deonna was so happy that he stopped hitting her. years passed and now it's now 2012 and itz new
years day.the family came over and they had a bar- bee-que. makaya is now 14 years old and she told her
baby sister maya to get out her room and james camein the room and got a belt and started hitting makaya
with it. makaya started to cry really hard and she had many,many wephs and bruses on her. deonna and
the family heard her screaming so they came into the room to see what was wrong with her. she told them
that james was hitting me becuase i told maya to get out.
deonna and james went into the room and they
starting argueing and james got mad and hit deonna in her mouth her. every one ran into the room and
was trying to hold him back from hitting her again. he was so big it took alot of people to hold him back.
deonna called the police. james ran out the house got into his car and drove off. the police came asked
what happened. deonna told them she had no idea were he went. the police officers told him that they will
keep an eye out for him. the officers left and then the falimy left. the kids were so scard to go to sleep
that night they didnt know what to do. james hates that deonna had a child before she met him. he always
brings up a conversation about makaya's dad and how he's a coward for not coming over to see his child.
the only reason why makaya's dad wont come over is becuase james always thrents to kill him. deonna
and james always argue about makaya's dad not being there. deonna always tells him that it isnt her fault
her dad isnt in her life.
makaya's hasnt met her dad in the fourteen years she's been alive. makaya's
hopes that one day her dad would come. she is so afarid of james and scard if he hits her mom again.
james is always yelling at makaya when deonna isnt there. james constanly makes up lies about makaya
and tell them to deonna. deonna is afarid if she doesnt beleive him that he would hit her so she takes
makaya to the side and tell her to stay away from him all the time. makaya hates staying in the house
with him. one time deonna was at work and makaya went out side on the pourch and sat down. james came
out and got in her face and tols her to go in the house and she told him that she was just sitting
down waiting on her mom to get home. he said that he didnt care go in the house he starting yanking
her arm and pulling her into the house. she went into her room and started to cry hard and he came
in her room and told her he was going to call the police on her. james called the police. a police
officer came into the room and started talking to her. the officer said why are you disrespecting
this man? makaya didnt know what to say she just told him she started crying becuase he yanked her
arm. the officer said james told him a way different story. he told me that you were stomping
yelling thur the house and that your always disrespecting him. maykaya told the officer that it was
a lie. she started to tell him that james always hit on her mom and that he is always hurting her
and her mom but she didnt she was afarid of what james was going to do.
when the officer left makaya called her mom and told her what happened she sounded like
she didnt care what was going on so she told makaya she was on her way home. of course james made
up a lie and told deonna that she was yelling and stomping thur the house and disrespecting him.
she acted like she believed it. makaya was so angry with james and her mother. she felt like
runnning away. she locked her self into her room that whole day and packed all her things into
big bags she had. she was on her way out the door but she knew she couldnt leave her mom there
with him so she could get beating for the rest of her life. so she stayed. she wanted to go so
bad but she couldnt. if she had left she was gonna go to her best friends house alexa. she were
really close and they always hung out. makaya thought if she moved in with her friend it would be
great they would always see each other and plus its not to far from her mom and she could come see
her mom on weekends or when ever she wanted to.
makaya started to like this boy. she wanted someone
that would treat her right not someone like james. his name was noah they dated for a while and soon
fell in love. they were a great young couple. makaya's mother doesnt know about this boy yet.
so one day makaya brung noah over he met makaya's mom he was such a gentenlmen but deonna thought
the same about all boys that they were bad and that all they wanted was one thing from girls
but that wasnt noah he was better he helped her with her math homework all the time and helped her
out with cursive he tryed to teach her to play basketball and lots more. makaya and noah always
had a smile on there faces. noah's family loved when makaya came over. they treated her right
all the time and they got her things helped her with thing. talked to her about things. they
made her feel like she had a home were every one got alone and every one loved her it was great.
one morning makaya woke up and heard james and deonna aguring about something. she went down
staris and told her mom that she didnt wanna stay there. deonna asked her where did she wanna go.
makaya said anywere but here. she told her that she could stay with her friend alexa. well makaya
i dont know where you could go right about now. she told her mom that she didnt wanna stay there and
that she wanted to go. makaya went back up stairs and packed her bags again. her mom came up into the
room and asked her where she was going makaya didnt answer. deonna said if you leave ima call the police
on you.makaya got so tired of deonna chooseing james over her she was so sick of it. makaya told her mom
its either her or james that's gonna leave.
