Chapter One:

'....The foster Kids.....'

'It was 2:45am on Tuesday, December 25th, 1996. The lights in the operation room were dim. The only noises around were, the scurrying around of the doctors an the yelling of Mrs. Gayge, who was in labor. Her husband Robbie was standing right beside her. He was pale, looked like he was gonna faint. Then all the sudden, the noise they had been waiting for 9 months to hear. The cry of there first born daughter. She had baby blue eyes, a little bit of hair, and the tinest little cry which seemed of more like a quil. She was 7 pounds and 2.5 ounces, 1foot and 9 inches. She was deffinitly a premi.  She was showing all the signs of being a healthy young new born.

Then all the sudden, the doctor looked up and said," There is another one, Mrs. Gayge."

"WHAT!!??" She replyed what i couldnt tell if it was fear or shock.

It was 5 hours later when all the sudden the lights flickered on an off and the not even 2 minuets later, she gave birth her second daughter, which she didnt know she had. She had hazel eyes, and curly dark brown hair. She didnt cry when she was delievered an was shown the world. She screamed her little lungs out. No one knew why, they just knew aslong as she was screaming she was fine. She weighed, 5 pounds and 7.5 ounces and was  1foot 2inches.

Mr. and Mrs. Gayge named there first new born daughter Anna Lynn Pearl Gayge and their second, Aria page saffire leeleeyetta Gaye. They left the hospital the day after with two new born's crying in the arm's of a proud new mother.

The names they chose for there daughter's where interesting. I wondered for years why they chose such big name for two small little girls. I guess we will never know.'

" Can you believe they wrote an article about us??" Aria said excitedly to her sister one day after reading the news paper and only going back to pick it up, to re-read what she had read to her sister.

"It's alittle odd tho, don't you think? I mean, why is this person so obbsessed with finding out why our biological parents named us." Anna said with a questionable look on her face while she grabbed her some orange juice out the refrigerator.

"Yeah i guess, but still the concept of someone actually being this interested in us is sort of interesting itself dont you think? I mean come on Anna, you cant say you dont want to know why this person is so interested in us." She looked at Anna noticing she wasnt paying a whole lot of attention to her. She walked over to her an sat right beside her an began talking again. "I mean it makes me want to figure out who this person is. Who was in the delivery room with mom?"

Anna shut her book noisely and looked Aria in the eyes before she said what she knew would make her twin sister shut up. "Can you STOP talking about mom!? She's gone okay?? Dad didnt want us after she died so thats  why we are here. This is our life now. NOT the past! So stop talking to me about this stupid article which was written last month on our birthday and get over. Go get ready while your at it. I'm not going to be late for cheer practice this morning just because you took forever to get dressed."

Aria turned away as she slowly walked up the stairs to the second floor of their adoptive  Family, the Carson's home. She knew better then to talk back to her sister. Since her mom died in a horrible plane crash 10 years after they were born, Anna was the only person that she had left and she didnt want to push anna away like thier dad had done to them a few weeks after there mom passed.

He had the police go pick them up from school a week before their birthday. Anna being the oldest answered all the question's every one asked them. Telling aria what was okay to answer and what wasn't. Aria knew Anna knew what was going on, but wouldnt tell her. Then they were placed in what the policed had called a 'Foster Home for Unwanted Kids of Kingdale County, Georgia".

The first night there the warden of the foster home took Anna to one room an Aria to a diffrent floor. They were seperated from each other for over two months.  Then one day a nice couple who looked like they were in their early fourtys tryed to adopt Anna. It became a hassel for about 5 weeks to get Anna comftorable with it. She told them she would go if they did one thing, adopted her sister as well. The couple thought no more about it an signed the papers saying they were adopting Anna and Aria.

They moved to a big 7 story house with a pool on each level except for  the bottom floor and the basement.  The lovely couple gave Aria the 4th floor and Anna the 3rd one. They told them they could do what ever the felt would make them selves feel at home.

Anna of course told them thank you and led Aria to her floor, and took the elevator up to her's and setteled into her huge master bed room.   She called the 4th floor phone about three times before Aria picked up. She told Aria what to do an what not to do.

They lived there for about four years before Matthews, the people that had adopted them, had gottin a divorce and gave them back to the foster home. From there they went to the Carson's and they had been living there ever since.

Aria always thought why would a couple people want to adopt two twin, 14 year old's, but she never questioned it again. She accepted it as it was and simply went on living the life of an foster child who had a twin, who had a story written about her in the new's paper.

"ARIA!!!!!!!!!" yelled Anna from down stair's interupting Aria's thinking.

"Im coming." She yelled back down stairs while rushing to get dressed for the mall. She grabbed her PDA an ran down stairs. There stood her sister, who seemed impatient. "Are you ready yet?" Anna said in an annoyed tone.

"I'm ready, now lets get going so you can drop me off a the mall with Clarrisa and Chloe before you miss your practice." she said with a smile on her face as she walked out the house heading towards her siste's baby blue saturn car.
