This was an assignment for my American Literature class....
I'm a mom/ student/ mentor/ fiance/ musician/ bookworm/ writer/ artist/ tree hugger ; ).... yes, I think that sums up the things you can call me.
I love classic literature such as works by Homer, Dante Alighieri, and Edgar Allen Poe. Greek and Roman mythology ranks with my top picks as well. When I'm not reading classics or myths, you can find me reading Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Robert Asprin, and Piers Anthony. I love to learn about everything I can get my hands/mind on: religion, wildlife, music, politics, world cultures, languages, the earth, science, the ocean, etc.
I am an advocate for equality, peace, liberalism, and education. Most of all I am very passionate about life and everything in it (sound familiar?)
One last thing... I am sorry if my use of bad language offends anyone. I didn't join this site to hide myself or to be a hypocrite. I am true to myself and honest with others. I know I write about God and things that my be considered religious, but I'm also complex in many ways. I am not a stick figure or a flat surface, but dimensional. I am like yin and yang. I have a personal relationship with God, but I am also human. I try my best not to impose my beliefs on others because everyone has their own right to believe what they want to. Peace to everyone.
************It's been a while since I've been on here, and I don't know how often I will visit the site. I will post something when I get inspired to write again. Lately, I've been delving into visual art. I've created several pictures using charcoal, colored pencils, and chalk. For some reason I will focus on one thing for a while and lose focus on another. For 10 years I didn't work on any visual art and all of a sudden I can't stop. I'm really happy that I got back into my groove with it. Unfortunately, I can't do literary art without inspiration.... so until I am inspired to write again, I will be here on and off. Thanks for stopping by. ~ Teresa **********************
