The MTV special focuses on Lovato’s life after rehab and how she’s preparing to go back on the road to face her fears.
Viewers will see Lovato return to her home in Texas for Thanksgiving and then preparing for a concert tour. She’s still in treatment, so viewers will see her go back to the treatment center she entered in October 2010, where she talks to recovering peers about her experiences.
The actress, who hit big on the 2008 Disney Channel movie “Camp Rock” and then had her own show on the channel, “Sonny With a Chance,” said she’s doing the MTV special to help others. PHOTOS: LOVATO AND OTHER CELEBS SHOW OFF THEIR INK
“I have daily challenges but so do many kids who are struggling to feel comfortable in their own skin,” Lovato said. “If opening up and sharing my story inspires even one person to stay strong or to get the help they need, I’ve succeeded.”
