When I decided on the title, Making Dollar$ And Cent$ Out Of Online Dating, I wasn’t joking. My sites were literally making a fist full of dollars and a couple of cents. After all, it took two months to make a three-figure sale from One World Singles. Since there were no sales in June and July, I thought it could only get better. I was forecasting that sales would double during the next three months with fewer or no terminations. Was this a dream on my part? No! There is nothing wrong in thinking big, because there will be days when self-doubting will rear its ugly head.
While I was reading the newspaper on August 2, I decided, just for fun, to check my horoscope. It read, “You’re very busy and you’re making a very good impression. You’re not making a fortune yet, but don’t give up. This is how you get there.” Well, this has been the story of my life. For over 20 years, I have been full of activity and making a good impression. As of yet, I have not made a fortune. I am still trying to get there, and I have not given up the fight. As the saying goes, I have been there! I have done that! What is next? Hello! I could have predicted this scenario.
