My Weekly Top 10 (104): (dec 20 - 26, 2009)
1. Rayne - the hunters
2. Heavinley Hano - you and me could be the A to Z
3. stephlebreton - you are…(my music)
4. rose89 - frustration of a poet : not nice at all!
5. Avril360 - the mysterious wonder
6. Tamil - i am fragile
7. Chente - desperate limits
8. vulkan - qubit fado
9. GypsyRose - friends (for rose)
10. matthew smith - thoughts on a journey
Rayne - It is always difficult to change from one to another especially if it is a hunter, who becomes hunted. Reyna Erin in her novel "the hunters" has a girl Amy, who was a hunter. She was once a part of a powerful vampire hunting clan. But then she was turned into a vampire. She is in danger. Her half sister wants to kill her. HUNTED
Heavinley Hano - Love is such a beautiful and selfless emotion, it always unites hearts. And Luciano Fisher does it brilliantly in his poem "you and me could be the A to Z". He wants to share his life with his lover and vice versa. He wishes to share her pain and be his alone. They should become one. He should be her only need. Great LOVE STORY
stephlebreton - Shakespeare had said, "If music be the food of love, play on." And you are reminded of it when you read Steph's poem "you are…(my music)". She calls her lover her dear. He is her treasure. He is her heart. He is her soul. He is everything to her. She will take him where ever she will go. What else can a lover want? LOVELY
rose89 - You know what. When we writers face our writers' block or simply don't get the adequate words, frustration sets in. And that can be pretty frustrating (!) Rose brings it all out in her poem "frustration of a poet : not nice at all!". As a poet, she wants to create epics out of nowhere. But what happens when there is nothing in the mind. BLOCKED!
Avril360 - A teenage pregnancy is enormous. And if one faces the threat of cancer with it, it can be awful. Avril in her poem "the mysterious wonder" tells about a 16-year-old girl, who is expecting and has cancer too. She wanted to become an artist. She couldn't fulfill this dream. She died and so did her parents in grief. They rested in peace in graves. TRAGIC
Tamil - Our weaker moments give birth to precious thoughts. And when we look back, we realize how very strong we are because of those moments. Tamil in her poem "i am fragile" reflects on this aspect. At a time when she was not her strongest, she was dealt a crushing blow. Her ignorance was her weakness. They cracked her self. She was brutally torn apart. TENDER
Chente - Lack of money can extract its own pound. Poor suffer on account of not having adequate resources. Chente has this as background for his short story "desperate limits". Bryan was a poor man. He wasn't making enough money to take care of his family. He was desperate for a better job. And then he commits a robbery in a store. The cops arrive. He was SHOT!
vulkan - Well, well. You require a lot of patience and understanding to read this unique poem. Vulcan in his poem "qubit fado" (quantum bit of fate) has something in his mind. He does not understand his self. It is not existentialist. Hear his words in human voice floating over a Portuguese guitar. There is a mixture of love, life, history and nostalgia. It never ends. NEVER!
GypsyRose - Gypsy and Rose are two friends. Gypsy has written a very friendly poem "friends (for rose)" for her friend Rose. She considers Rose to be the best. She thanks her for being a great friend. She is going to be her friend forever and be by her side. She remains in her memory. Days can never be lonely whenever you think of your friend. ETERNAL
matthew smith - All poets can be considered philosophers for their poetry gives vent to the choicest of thoughts. These form the basis of any thinking. Matthew in his poem "thoughts on a journey" feels the world is a fragile place. We may live on earth but we stand on a void. A train is leaving. People are bidding the travelers. Far away the sky meets the earth. JOURNEY
Take care until next week...CHEERS!... and lots of luv and kisses...and...and...(I said SHUT UP!!!)
