This is a sad story about the dog who loved the queen (Mary) dearly. The queen's dog Folly, wasn't a royal dog when he was young, he and his sister were picked out of all their brothers and sisters to keep the queen company. The queen however was kept prisoner for nineteen years of her life. The evil sister in law (Elizabeth) wanted her throne, so when she was out of the country, Elizabeth was in charge. On the way to the queen Folly's sister became very ill and eventually died next to Folly. So Folly was taken to the queen by himself. He met bigger dogs that him, but his goal was to make the queen love him. Folly had tried many times to impress the queen, but something has always gone wrong. He then manages to catch a rat for the queen, which made everyone in the room laugh. From that point on, folly was the queen's favourite dog. Folly had had fine feasts at the castle. But one day, Elizabeth tried to take Mary away from him.hes did everything he could. But he was powerless when they were holding his belly. But one day, the queen (Elizabeth) ordered to execute the queen (Mary) the next morning. The next day Folly couldn't do anything, but watch his beloved queen die in pain and agony (the guy had to chop her head 3 times to get it off) it is unknown of what happened to Folly afterwards...

I it was a great story by Jackie French. It was REALLY sad at the end, and it kinda nearly made me cry... I give it 4 out of five. You get to find out how they lived , how they ate...The story was really good!!!!

Recommended for all ages - I think...
