I believe in handwritten letters. They hold way more sentimental value than typed ones. I love it when I get one from a fan or what not. It really opens me up to their world just a little. And I always try to write back, no matter how busy I may be, to open them up to my world as well.
I believe that I did not choose to be as I am. I identify as a lesbian, yes. And I get a lot of people who tell me, oh you are choosing to not be attracted to men. The truth is, I have never ever been attracted to men. I had my first crush at age 5 on a girl even though at the time, I had no clue what was going on. I simply thought, “Oh she’s really cute” End of story.
Sometimes, all we have are the people who love us, and most of the time, that’s enough for me. I have no deisire to be completely surrounded by people who I may or may not like all of the time. All I really need is a friend or two, a cup of coffee, my fiddle and I am complete.
I believe in God. I know for a fact that He made no mistakes when He made me. I just don’t pray or any of that jazz.
I believe in Music. Music with a capital M. It is the soul of nations. It’s amazing how much one can learn just by listening to the music of another country. It’s one of my favorite hobbies.
I believe in my future. It holds a lot for me and I am excited to see how it unfurls.
