Striking Icy Blues

She asked to keep my eyes open

She asked if I would remember her

I said I hated love,

'cause it always left and then it was darker than before.

Even when you thought impossible

She said she trusted me

Oh, how wrong she'd been

I love you right now, don't matter what tomorrow

I agreed, and took away her sorrow

She said I'd get it never,

but she would love me forever

I do a lot of lying so I won't say I'm dying.

I do a lot of lying so I won't say you were love.

Now's tomorrow and you proved me wrong.

I love you forever,

So I wrote this song.

Now's tomorrow and I made this song.

I love you forever,

Just to prove me wrong.

This "poem" wrote itself on my mind while I was reading "Heavier than Heaven", Kurt Cobain's bio by Charles Cross.

Although it might seem cliché, it's been written as a creation of himself during the events that took place ever since his overdosing became routine, and the woman mentioned in there could either be Courtney Love or Tracy Marander.

I am buried up to my neck in
Contradictionary flies
I take pride as the king of illiterature
I'm very ape and very nice

If you ever need anything please don't
Hesitate to ask someone else first
I'm too busy acting like I'm not naive
I've seen it all, I was here first

Very ape - Nirvana

"He ricochets between oposites.
He is wary and under
sincere and sarcastic,
thin-skinned and insensitive,
aware of his popularity and trying to ignore it."

"I simply don't have anything to say to him,
and I don't need a relationship with a person whom I don't want to spend a boring Christmas with.
In another words, I love you; I don't hate you; I don't want to talk to you."

The kind of love that even as it
begins you know is preordained
to break your heart and to end
like a Greek tragedy
