My voice spread through the canteen area. Although everybody was looking, but none of them dared to do anything.
It was the Golden Club; they were infamous for threatening, beating and bullying people. Their main target is money. They were the biggest gang club in my school. They were bullying me, the small girl, Aya.
It all happened two weeks ago, I was walking casually in the canteen with my group of friends. Being small in size, I immediately became the next target of the Golden Club. I was always threatened by them, for money mainly. No matter what I do, they will never stop.
I tried telling teachers about them, but none of them believes in me. They think that it is an excuse that I have made up. This is due to the gang members who always tear my homework, making me unable to hand in on time. This is not all; all my friends were chased away by the Golden Club. Whoever dares to be my friends, or just simply talking to me, would be beaten up.
I have always been alone since then.
Right now, I am surrounded by two Golden club members, and their leader, John. Both of the members pushed me to a corner in the canteen and hold my hands, not allowing me to move.
"What do you want? Why are you doing this to me? Please! Let me go!" I shouted in fear, with tears flowing.
"Well, don't cry little cute girl. We just want some money." John smirked, "Or else, you will get our special treatment. We have prepared it specially for you."
"Let go of my hands! I need to check how much money I have left…" I said.
"Let go of her." John swings his right hand, signaling his members to let go.
I unzipped my bag, took out my pink wallet and check the amount of money inside.
"I… I only have ten dollars…"
"Ten dollars? Are you kidding me? You only brought ten dollars? Hahaha, what a joke!" John laughed, "You must have hide some money right? Take it out, or you won't be able to leave."
"I really don't have any more money! You promised to let me go! How could you go against your words?" Holding onto the ten dollars note, I tried to beg for my freedom, but it failed.
"Guys, you know what to do."
Under John's order, the two members began their special treatment. I didn't know what to do. They will surely be beating me up, tearing my homework and cutting my bag. This is what they usually do. My breathing and heartbeat got faster and faster.
"Enjoy yourself, Aya."
This time was different. They did not tear my homework, did not beat me up nor did they cut my bag. They were trying to take off my clothes! They were trying to take it off in front of the entire school! What do I do?
I tried to stop them, but they gave me a punch on my cheek, leaving it burning how and red. Not giving up, I grabbed one of the member's hands and bit him incredibly hard. I could taste his blood; his disgusting, dirty and awful blood.
"Ahhh!" He shouted, before landing a slap on my face.
I landed on the floor without much strength left. I knew that there was nothing I could do. I closed my eyes, hoping for the best to happen.
"Damn it! She bit me!" The member shouted in pain, with blood dripping.
"Beat her up!" John ordered.
The member, whose hands were injured, clung his right fist and swung his hands towards my face; to punch me. However, I felt nothing, no pain at all.
"Why didn't I feel any pain? Have I fainted?" I said to myself, before opening my eyes.
It was a man in school uniform, average body size of a teenager. He was holding the member's fist.
"What are you all doing? Bullying a girl?" The man said.
In a split moment, he punched the member on the stomach. Before the other member could react, he landed another powerful punch on the face. Both members fell onto the ground.
"Who the hell are you?" John asked rudely, after seeing what had happened.
"Leon." The man replied.
"Leon?" I stared at Leon.
"Hey. I have heard of you, the lonely boy. You have no friends, no family, you are alone. You cannot do anything right except fighting, getting in trouble. The most important thing is that, nobody likes you." John laughed loudly.
"Leave that girl alone." Leon pointed at John.
"Hey! Look where your finger is pointing, you don't want it to be broken. Besides, who is she to you? Why bother saving some useless girl?" John smiled before he continues, "Or, do you think that she and you are alike? Alone, right? Well, I guess trash always stays with trash."
"I don't think all the things that you have mentioned are your problems. Like I said, leave that girl alone." Leon said.
"Why should I? Who are you to order me around? You are just an ant to me, and I can crush you to death anytime." John punched his palm continuously, trying to scare Leon.
"I heard that there is fighting going on here, is it true?" A voice that saves the day has arrived. The principal arrived.
"Of course not. Your school is so peaceful! How can there possibly be a fighting going on?" John smiled.
"Well John, that coming out from your mouth isn't quite reliable." Mrs Tan said, and turned towards Leon and I, "Did anything happen?"
"Yes, they were bullying and threatening the girl over there. There are many witnesses in this canteen, and I am one of them." Leon said.
"John! Follow me to the office now! I have things to talk to you!" Mrs Tan went to the principal office with John.
John stared at Leon, signaling that he will take his revenge.
"Leon, right?" I said, "Thank you."
I was expecting a welcome from him, but he said nothing. He left without even asking my name.
"Are you going to walk off like that? You don't even know my name!" I said, trying to make him turn back, but he didn't
"What's wrong with him?" I asked myself, and took a glance at my watch, "What! It's six thirty already? Oh crap!"
I rushed home without thinking about Leon, but just time.
