Truly Betrayed

Poetry By: AemmaBella
Non-fiction

The title is a bit self explanatory, don't you think?

Why would you do this to me?

Tell me you love me,

Tell me you need me?

Yet you gave it away

For a little lay?

You said you were mad

At me because I wasn't there.

Yet you think I might be glad?

You had an affair!

Does that seem fair?

I promised you myself,

My innocence.

Would you have still taken it for yourself?

Would you have taken it in silence?

A coward does not deserve such a special gift.

You betrayed me

My spirit,

My soul,

You have scarred me deeply,

What you've done was so beastly.

I cannot, ever, forgive you dearly.

For the pain you induced,

For your abominable abuse.
