A Hopeless Cry

Poetry By: CursedHeart
Non-fiction

The world just becomes to much. And when nothing seems to be rewarded for your efforts, what do you do?

Demonic beasts haunt my days
Blessed pills cure my nights
Long gone serenity burns away
Skew the future; Dim the lights

Images of perfection pass
Through my mind; they never left
Drowning in an ocean of dissaray
Taken by the world's cunning theft

A sun can only set so many times
Before darkness will prevail
The fooling stars may give hope
But in the end they too will fail

Cascading tears fall to dust
Screaming for answers sought
"Why must the the strong die slowly?"
"Why do they lose that for which they fought?"

Fight, yes; but never proved worthy.
Never worthy of the happy ending
Wishes and Prayers remain unanswered
My ultimate death remains in pending.
