The policeman rides motorcycles in the night

not really muffled

on rainy city streets

roaring reving - silver chrome softly glowing

under traffic lights red or green

pulsing starting again after stalls

in intersections

The Policeman

Copyright 2011 Patricia L. McGurk Martin Hearst Himmler Rothschild

The policeman rides motorcycles in the night

not really muffled

on rainy city streets

roaring reving - silver chrome softly glowing

under traffic lights red or green

pulsing starting again after stalls

in intersections

The policeman's eyes wide open for crime

alert

while his heart dreams one or two dreams

he is a hunter in the night

sometimes scavenging

searching for answers

until the American dawn wakes him (or her)
