Kati- Kebabs And Movies.(In Calcutta-India.)

(c) 31/3/2013. By Poetlife.

Kati- kebabs.

Turned, grilled over slow

Hot embers,

On an open fire.

Meat on a metal skewer.

Marinated in spices

Of

Delight.

Sit on a bed

Of

Onions and spice.

Rolled into a wrap,

In

Parata,

Unleavened bread,

Fried.

In texture soft and crisp.,

Of

French pancake size.

After the movies,

We had seen,

A special treat

From

Shops of specialty

In the streets.

Sandra Dee, Troy Donhue, Pat Boone, Elvis.

Movies played.

Many other's too,

In our sight,

To delight.

In movie houses -Cinemas,

Called,

The Lighthouse, New Empire and Globe

We flocked to see,

As we had no T.V.

Or

Computers then.

We enjoyed this special treat.

Hope they are still around?

Hope you enjoy

This special treat.

(More later- to share-? If you are interested to hear?Know? Let me know.)
