A BRAVE HOMELESS GIRL

by Kim Harr on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 3:57pm

BECAUSE OF DAD'S DECISION

AN INNOCENT YOUNG GIRL'S LIFE NOW FILLED WITH COLLISON

NOT HAVING A MOTHER

YET PLAYING ONE TO A BABY BROTHER

BRAVELY ASKING FOR SOMETHING TO EAT

WITH A GREAT SPIRIT OF NOT ACCEPTING DEFEAT

THE GIRL WAS VERY BRAVE

SHE WAS SO GRATEFUL FOR WHAT LITTLE I GAVE

EVEN IN HER SITUATIONS NOT COMPLAINING OR HAVING A HEART OF DESPAIR

BUT BEAUTIFUL LIGHT WITHIN HER STARE

PUTTING ON HER NECK MY CROSS TO GIVE HER A SENSE OF PROTECTION

ACCEPTING IT WITH GRATITUDE AND GREAT AFFECTION

AS I LEFT HER MY EYES FLOODED WITH TEARS

SEEING HER NOT HAVING A SINGLE FEAR

NOW AT HOME STILL THINKING OF HER AS THE TEARS FLOOD MY HEART

FROM ME THE BRAVE LITTLE GIRL MEMORY SHALL NEVER PART

NOW FOR HER I'M IN CONSTANT PRAYER

FATHER PLEASE PUT PEOPLE ON HER PATH WILLING TO SHARE
