Nobody's Princess

Poetry By: sineadmc1990
Non-fiction

A piece I wrote when I was much younger. Yea I'm that girl, but I'm lucky because it wasn't sexual abuse.

i'm sick of hearing those endless lies
of how you say you love me endlessly
and the way you call me "princess"
as you climb into my bed at night

well, daddy, i'm not your princess
i'm not yours anymore because i'll be safe
when i get a prince of my own
and then you'll never come near me

my prince will save me from you
he'll be my knight in shining armour
and he'll call me his princess
and i will be, but not yet

because, daddy, i'm nobody's princess
