Ok, so this is a hero paper that I wrote over a year ago for school. I wrote it while my sister was in a coma. She passed away a couple days after I wrote this. I knew as soon as I got the assignment that I was going to write it on her. Well, please comment and rate! Thankyou for reading! oh and sorry about all the pictures. They're all of my sister at her 10th birthday party. They're the most recent and like the only good ones I have of her. So sorry there isn't much variety! Thankyou again for reading!

What is a hero to you, and who is your hero? To me, a hero is someone who is strong no matter what happens. To begin with, my hero is my little sister, Katie. First, she has been fighting cancer since she was just two and a half years old. She has never given up. Secondly, even though she might be in the hospital, she barely ever loses her cool. She is always the same person the whole way through. Thirdly, she never gives up on herself. She has never said that she was going to give up on this. She just says I can’t wait until this is over. Finally, one of the most important things is to hang out with your friends. Whenever Katie was younger she wasn’t able to get out of the house because she couldn’t get sick. She never complained about not being able to spend the night at a friends’ house, or just being able to live a normal life. I know I would be the one complaining about this, and I have no clue how she does this when she is just ten years old. This truly proves that she is the strongest person that I will ever know in my whole life. She may not have won this battle but she will always be my hero forever.

Thankyou. It's really fun to write about your hero. Because its a tribute to whoever you wrote it to, and everyone has some hero, so you can write about one. Thankyou for the comment!!

That really put a tear to my eye, all your pieces do. The way you write i can really see how much you care about your sister.

Yeah I've always cared about her this much. I guess it just comes out more when something happens to them. Once again sorry for bringing tears. Didn't mean to! I'm glad I have connected with you! It means a lot! Take care!

She really is your hero if you write about her in this way, you say everyone has a hero, but thats not true, cuz i dont, you might be saying " yah right" but if you have been betrayed and stabbed in the back so many times, you would see that its hard to find a hero :(
Take care!

Hey. Your right I will say "yah right" not in mean way though. You could not have a hero right now. But I believe in time you will meet that person that will become your best best friend. And you will look up to them as a hero. I'm sure people look up to you. I have been betrayed and stabbed in the back MANY times. But I try not to hold grudges. And try to forgive. But you still have a right to say that because it could be true. I'm only 14 so I don't know everything. Its just my opinion that everyone EVENTAULLY has a hero. And I believe that for you. You will soon find someone that isn't going to stab you in the back and someone you can trust. Remember you can always trust me, and talk to me if you ever need it! Take care!!

Very sweet. I'm so sorry for the loss of your sister. I'm sure the two of you had a very special bond. I can't imagine ever losing either of my sisters. If you get the chance, (you may have to dig for it) check out my "Super-hero".

Lol. I will surely start digging!! Thankyou for the sympathy. I'm glad you liked it! And yes, we had a very special bond, that will never go away! I've gone to a cancer camp. You have a special bond right now with your sisters. But a lot of people say when you see one of your sisters in the hospital... expecially a younger sister. Your bond grows stronger. And you want to do anything with them, because you want to take as much of the pain away as you can. Thankyou for the great comment! Take care!

Dear Cassie,

I am deeply sorry for the loss of your beloved sister. My wish for you is that throughout your life you will always feel that special bond with her. The spirit of a hero can never die, and it is apparent that her spirit lives on in you.
