I love coffee. In any and all forms. Mostly the drinkable guises, but also as a delightful crunchy snack. My favourite coffee of late is a strong cappuccino, and at my favourite (though not local) cafe I have developed the kind of relationship with one of the baristas (in my opinion the best barista in the whole of Melbourne) that leads to my sitting outside, rolling a cigarette, and her making me my usual without my asking, my 'usual' being a strong cappuccino with three to four shots depending on how half-dead I look by the time I get there. Were same-sex marriage not banned in Australia (a disgusting homophobic piece of legislation that needs to be lifted immediately) I would ask this woman to marry me. If this planet were robbed of brilliance such as she, I would truly, deeply weep. She is for me a blazing symbol of all that is and ever could be good about this world.
