"We make war that we may live in peace."
-Aristotle [384 BCE-322 BCE]
Agree or disagree and why, I'd love to see what you have to say!
I personally do not know whether I agree or disagree with this quote. I believe that due to the nature of man, we will never have true peace. I say this because even though that one country may live in peace during a war, the other one lives in fear of what that country is going to do next, and, if you ask me, that is not true peace. Not to mention, we have a WHOLE LOT of countries and a WHOLE LOT of people that hates at least one race, religion, country, ect. and because of this, there never will be true peace. HOWEVER, if someone would kindly explain to me what the point of war is, I would greatly appreciate it. To me, war, in the grand scheme of things, has no point. It seems like a complete and total waste of valuable time and energy. I mean, I understand that it's impossible for everyone to get along but, DUDE! SHUT UP, AGREE TO DISAGREE, AND STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM EACHOTHER IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!!! Surely a comprimise of some kind or another can be made somewhere down the line before it turns into a big problem?
What do you think?
