Photographic Poppys

Poppy's

I finally got my camera fixed so to make sure it was working I decided to take a few snaps of some poppy's.

I like the look of the delicate silk petals against the rough surface of the grey breeze blocked wall behind, it makes such a stark contrast.

Wanting to check focus on close up shots, there's no zoom lens on my camera so I have to use arm length to get the focus right. I took a single poppy flower inside the house to practice close up shots.

My Labby dog Ani became very curious, intrigued by the poppy. As you can see he studied the flower intently.

Then he inhaled the flowers scent and the look on his face of delight is so clearly apparent.
