Dear Readers, I am sorry that the latest issue has come so late. A revelation has occurred in my life and has changed everything that I am. No longer can I speak of such light hearted issues. Due to my recent discoveries of government secrets. I am now promoting the movie “zeitgeist” and ask everyone to watch it with an open mind! You can find the movie at www.zeitgeistmovie.com. It is a powerful and mind provoking documentary that will incite all who come across it to think different about this so called democracy and the religions that many have believed for decades. Its also goes into full detail of the 911 controversy and provides adequate evidence for every allegation it brings forward. This movie has changed my life and will control every action here on. So please take the time and go to www.zeitgeistmovie.com and watch this incredible life changing film. Thank you!

Sustainable living goes beyond a single action; it requires a shift in philosophy.

I Speak . . . “Socialism”

The writers strike was more than just a plead to receive better treatment and pay. It was also a revolution and a revival of socialism. Though the strike is now over, the socialist agenda is taking a strong hold in a major way, drawing in supporters like presidential candidate John Edwards, who stood with the writers on the picket lines in the final days of the strike. Protesters of this hidden agenda have spoken out, but have been abruptly shut out after only mere cries on a Jay Leno episode, where they were removed for displaying their American rights. So what could be so dangerous to require it be silenced? What is socialism and how is it relevant to the American lifestyle? This form of government has existed in the U.S. since the mid 1800’s and has pushed its way into American culture ever since.
"Socialism is the belief and the hope that by proper use of government power, men can be rescued from their helplessness in the wild cycling cruelty of depression and boom," famous words written by Theodore H. White, author of Fire in the Ashes: Europe in Mid-Century (1953). Brought over by German immigrants, socialism took the stage in creating unions like the National Typographic Union and the Iron Molders' Union of North America, which lead to the birth of the socialist party in 1900. The charismatic leader Eugene V. Debs lead the socialist to publish over 300 newspapers and brought , 160 councilmen, 145 aldermen, one congressman, and 56 mayors to the growing party. Debs ran for president in 1912 under the socialist ticket but lost for his opposition of WWI. After the 1912 election, socialism began to decline even with the many tries of Upton Sinclair and Jack London to push party progress.
Today, socialism is making its come back, has changed its core beliefs, and is now pushing for a “Democratic Socialism,” which can be defined as “a political and economic system with freedom and equality for all, so that people may develop to their fullest potential in harmony with others.” Further, the party is “committed to full freedom of speech, assembly, press, and religion and to a multi-party system” and that the ownership and control of the production and distribution of goods “should be democratically controlled public agencies, cooperatives, or other collective groups” which would then lead to full equality for all men and create a government truly ran by the people.
For many, socialism is a stepping stone to a better life. Pushing and successfully achieving the social security act of 1935 in the Roosevelt administration and the lowering of health insurance in the Clinton administration, socialism is the rock to help all of mankind and the writers see it as just that! They’re fighting to get better treatment of workers and pushing for a more equal and fair way of life for all of its neighbors. With socialism in place here in America, people would be guaranteed employment, housing, free medical care, child care, education through advanced degrees, elder care; and sports, music and arts opportunities. Democratic socialism is the answer to the hate crimes, to the poverty, and to the growing competition in the market place. So could America’s democracy be in jeopardy? According to the socialist party, the democratic side of things will stay in effect and America would be even more free. Creating a free and equal United States would be an example to the entire world.

Genesis chapter 1:16-25: (16) And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. (17) And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth. (18) And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that is was good. (19) And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. (20) And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
(21) And God created great great whales, and evert living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and God saw that is was good. (22) And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. (23) And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. (24) And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. (25) And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Tips to get started with yoga:
“Meditating can help us relate to everything else in our experience with greater skill, greater compassion, and greater ease,” says Boston yoga and meditation instructor Joshua Summers.

1st - start slowly- time is irrelevant just start with a minute and work your way up gradually.
2nd - Be Consistent- meditate regularly even if you don’t want to, it will help solidify the practice and observe your resistance.
3rd- Go easy on yourself- let go of the idea that the goal of meditation is to stop thinking. The experience of mediation is different for everyone. The point isn’t not to think; it’s to be aware of your thoughts and learn to let them be.
4th - get a group- sitting with others once a week can fuel your practice.

Poem of the Month

My Heart Is Young

Why do you turn away?
My heart is young and free,
Take the time to know me,
Truth is what you will see.

Do you think I don’t remember?
It seems not long ago,
I thought I had forever,
How was I to know?

I walk the path of autumn
While you still play in spring,
For me awaits the cold of winter,
When in summer you shall sing.

Why do you turn away?
My heart is young and free,
It’s simply because we view ourselves
And the world so differently.

Years bring truth and wisdom,
It isn’t just by chance,
This change is meant to happen,
To time we all must dance.

- Rhonda Mohlmann

My Writing

Wake This Life

Wake this life,
This life of hate.
This sinful life.
This life of rage.
Wake this life,
This life that I never lived.
This life that I want to give.
This life of joyous tears.
Wake this life,
So I may see the life you’ve given me.
So I may find my place with you today.
So I may succeed the life of yesterday .
Wake this life,
So I may see your humble face.
So I may be in your glorious grace.
This sinful life of misery,
This life that I gave to you for eternity,
Wake this life. . .

Hell’s Feast

This hell I’m falling in is ever so changing.
From a little flame of darkness to the flames a raging.
The flames ever so high, I’m sinking fast in the darkness,
I look up to the sky and see the face of saving.
So I quickly turn away, not wanting him to see me.
I ask him for forgiveness, as the light comes closer.
The darkness fleeing from his tears,
I started to praise him for the life he gave and for my eternal soul.
As he turned away, I cried out for his forgiveness
Their I lay to cry as the darkness overwhelmed me,
The home I wished for is now gone and forever
I’ll be crying in this fiery hole
Where I lay and wait for someone to save my soul.
