I'd just like to thank everyone who put an entry in. I enjoyed reading everything that came my way, and the quality of submissions was excellent (So don't feel like a dick or a dumbat if you didn't place). It was SO TONKA TOUGH judging this because
a) as already stated, all the content was high calibre
b) I'm really shit at judging things.
Anyway, I've provided the info and the links to all the entrants. If you have been reading/ are one of the entrants and I have left you out LET ME KNOW. I went over it several times, but I have been known to be a scatterbrain (who looks ridiculous blonde so I don't conform to that stereotype).
Please read. These guys deserve the recognition. They are awesome.
Love Stained Radio - Risely R/. Riddled
This is a cute account of a relationship between a star and a fan. Is it real, or all in her head (or radio)?
xnbdyknwsx- There is No Joy in Their Division
I love how manga pics and character descriptions were used to introduce this story. I thought it was really effective, and made me excited about reading the story.
The really short chapters worked well for me actually, giving me a taste for what was going on in controlled doses. I love what you did with the title. I would never have thought of taking the song/band in this direction. It's ace. I really like the emotion and intensity of the two teenagers and that at the end they can be real and truthful to each other and there is hope.
Tree Star- Rundown Showdown
I love what Tree Star did with the meeting of Bowie personas. S/he (?) did a brilliant job. Check it out.
Please Don't Cry Anymore- Raining Skittles
This poem reads like a really true account of the ups and downs of relationships. Brief, poignant, I really like it.
Frozen Spirit- MiZzYx1991
I really liked this short story. It's well written with great attention to detail.
monicastar14- Super Electric
do yourself a favour and read.
Buzz Girl- You're Twisting My Melons Man
I love what she did with this from the title, to the actual story that ends up taking a very different narrative direction than I thought it might.
lobsterpotmayhem- S S Within
Blurred boundaries of what is present and past. (I've got a sooky child on me right now and can't think of what else to write).
Carlywankanobi- Hate What I've Become
I love the raw honesty of this, it's like a poetic confessional full of truth and pain, but with a destination that aims to get out of the shit.
As well as her ability as a writer, I thought Carly deserved a special mention for putting her very personal shit out there.
