My parents told me and mytwo siblings, "One day, a measly 24-hours can make, or break your entire life." Well that was
no lie. For me ,my sixteen year old sister Jana, and Chet our 10 year old brother that day was June 1,1942. It was the week after
I turned thirteen. Me and Jana took Chet to play at the park. Me and Jana were siting on a bench planning our immediate futures, when all of the
sudden my Dad's sister my Aunt Sophie came running up to Chet. She grabbed his hand then ran up to where we were sitting.
"Auntie are you alright? Your face looks scared!" I pointed out.
"Children, er, this morning you parents were in a car accident ,we will go right to the hospital, TAXI!"she yelled running close to the street. My heart skipped a beat my face got cold and pale. I broke out in a cold sweat! We rushed in a cab to the hospital. Jana, Chet, and Iran after a stretcher carrying our mother.
"Mother!" yelled Jana.
We ran down a long hall, it felt like the longest ever. I looked at Mothers poor body, and it felt like the world went blank, and was in slow-motion. We reached a big metal door.
"You kids stay here now, but,I promise we'll do as much as we can do." Said a nurse with blonde hair.
We slowly walked to a big door, Aunt Sophie was in front of.
"Auntie S. where is Father?"asked Chet.
"I'm sorry, but he was to far gone before the paramedics came, he passed away."
"No!" Sobbed Jana...

11/2 hours later in the day
As we waited in the lounge, the doctor finally came in. "I did as much as I could, she is completely brain dead. Sooner or later you have to pull the plug." He said "You may go see her now."
"Thank you!" said Jana.
CHAPTER 2
"who is Aunt S. talking to?"asked Chet looking at the pay phone Sophie was standing in front of
"she's talking to our family lawyer,she needs to know about mother and fathers will"said Jana lookingatAunt Sophieherself
"okay,thank youvery much,alright,okay,byenow,bye."said Sophie hangingthe phone up"children,your parents left everything,to you.And youare to live with me now.You'll stay in me and UncleMatt's guest room,now,i suggest we go see Gloria"saidSophie
"yourmostlikelyright,if wewere brain deadshe would visit us!".......
"room 123,this is her"I said
"mama wecame to make sureyou didn't get lonely!"said Chet with asmile
Ifelt sosad,and helpless,Ifelt like my heart wouldbreak.

15 minutes later
"well"saidSophie"we'd best be gone now,we cancome back tomorrow when we are not as sad,we want tobe smilingwhenever we come.right?"
"yes,that'strue"saidJana..............
"oh,hello children"said uncle Matt"didyourold Ma andPa finally let youstay over?"
"MattI need to see youin private".said Sophie.
Thatmademe feel worse.He said"old"but,myparents wereonly 35,andthey weregood friendsand parents.
TheywereAngels.
"children,I'm sosorry,I,I,didn't know!"said Uncle M.
"Kid'swe haveto plan the funeral,and soon"! said Sophie
"we know,we'llgo coffinhunting tomorrow"said Jana..............
"kids?"yelledSophie
"yes?"i yelledback
"dinner!"...
"I made, chicken,broccoli, macaroni and cheese andapple sauce!"saidSophie"plus...lemonaide!"
"thanks!"Chetsaid...........
"goodnight"Isaid.
Chapter three
The next day we went Shopping for a coffin.
"we want the #1235-a model,please"said aunt S.looking @ the clerk
"yes miss".
"its missus please"
"sorry"........
Auntie S. insisted we get our own house...I don't see why we couldn't stay with her........
"kids,good news,we found an afordable house right across the street from us!"said Matt
"thats nice!'I said sarcasticaly
"does it have a-"said Chet aunt S.finished his sentince"big yard?and it has1 acre on it"!
"and a big kitchen?"asked Jana
"a big closit?"I asked
"it has a large kitchen Two baths,three big closits,and a laundery room,and three big bedrooms"!said Matt
"well how much?"asked Chet
"2,842 dollars"said auntie S."your mum and pop left you 1,ooo,842 dollars!"
"they did?"asked Jana
"yup,er,go wash up and get in bed"said Matt
"we will move you in the day after tomorrow!"said Aunt.s
"isn't that soon"?asked Jana
"go-up-stairs-and go-to-bed"said Matt evily
It made no sence that he was rude,Why?Oh well goodnight!
