Don't Leave Me This Way I ran through the doors of the press room and ran up to Dakota. I kissed him deeply as if I were to die today. I held his perfect face as if I would never see him again. "Dakota, I'm not going anywhere, I'm not gonna do anything, not without you. You can't leave me, please, I don't want you to go-" He brushed his finger over my lips and held me tightly. "I'm not going anywhere without you, Addison." "Is this the girl?" The officer asked "Yes, she is." "And Dakota's mine. Forever." The officer took us to take some tests on a lie detector. Luckily, we both passed. We both watched as the now deranged David had walked through the doors and into the soundproof room. After a few minutes, there were loud shouts and a gunshot. David was escorted out in handcuffs, and left in a police car. Dakota and I shouted and cheered as this nightmare was now over. Or was it? Weeks had come and gone, come and gone. I woke up one morning, gentle snowflakes falling to the ground. I quickly got ready, dressed in warm clothes. I ran out the door hoping Dakota would be waiting. My smile disappeared, as he was nowhere in sight. I felt something hit my head, and snow blinded my eyes. "Boo! Did I scare you? I hope not." Dakota came up from behind me and twirled me in the air. He tripped over himself and we both fell laughing. Dakota was awfully silent as I picked snow from his hair. "Is something bothering you?'' "I-It's nothing." I felt a guilt growing in my stomach as if it were my fault. Don't Leave Me This Way...I thought. "Are your sure? Because, I mean, if I did anything wrong th-" "I said I'm FINE!" I winced with shock as he raised his voice. Something was wrong and the guilt kept piling up. He turned around and looked straight into my eyes. He scooted himself over to me and wrapped me in his arms. "I'm sorry."
