Writers, start your keyboards!Want to test your wit and writing
skills?Want to prove your abilities to adapt and think outside
the literary box?Need something to help your writer's block?Then
this is the challenge for you!
I challenge you to write a novel or short story with original
content. To enter, comment and give me the initials of your
first, middle, and last name (or if you'd rather, just three
random letters).I will then give you three coinciding words that
must be included in your story.One will be a place, one will be
an object, and one will be an action.They can have as much or as
little importance in your story as you'd like, just as long as
they are included.Your story can be Romance, Action, Suspense,
Fantasy, or hopefully a mix of all of those.I want to be

All novels must have at least 10 chapters (and
no baby chapters, please).
You have one month to create this masterpiece,
but by no means must it be completed.
It must be new writing.No adding your three
things into old stories.
Once you are finished and want to turn it in, you need to send me
the name of your story.
You will be scored on a few different playing fields.
Title (10%) - A title is a writer's first
impression!Make it a good one!
Summary (10%) - Because summaries are important
to attracting our readers, these need to pack a punch!
Originality (20%) - Be as creative as
possible!Think outside the box with your plot and characters.
Quality of Comments (20%) - Are you attracting
the kinds of readers who leave quality comments that provide
constructive criticism as well as give reasons for what they
liked about it?I want to know what people genuinely think about
your story.You don't just have me to entertain!
Number of Likes (10%) - Do your readers like it
enough to click a little box?This is important!
I will pick one winner from the Novel Entries and one from Short
I will post everywhere on myspace, facebook, ect.and will tell
everyone I know to get on read your story.
Winners will receive full reviews of their stories on my own
Booksie page, as well as in the winners' article at the
culmination of the challenge.
I will laboriously take the time to find others on Booksie that
might enjoy your story or writing style and refer them to you.
I will become your fan (something I don't take lightly).
I will also read and comment on all of your works and any new
works you wish me to read.
And… I will, if you wish, write you a
story/poem of your choosing, so that I may entertain you in
