Should I write it?
No or Yes?
Raylee is a girl who is "special". No she isn't
blind, no she isn't mental. She has a food disability. I know
what you're thinking. "Oh she is bulimic or anorexic." No she has
PKU, that stands for Phenylketonuria. Good luck
pronouncing that. Life is hard at times but she tries to be
normal. Food is a constant battle. She can't eat many things that
most people can. Normal people look at her like 'How is she still
living if she can eat anything I'm suggesting?' PKU is a genetic
disorder where the person can't have certain foods with high
protein levels. Normal people need tons of protein but it is just
the opposite with her. "The lower the better!" he mom reminds her
what seems like every day. Some days she gets by without a
single question. She is singled out many times as the girl who
can't eat food. It breaks her heart each time she is separated
from other normal people. In her case she doesn't want to
be popular. All she wants is to fit in with people unlike her.
I am trying to get this disorder some publicity. I want other
people to understand it and learn about it. So should I write it?
