The redness of the dust concealed me slowly as I walked around the big rock in the centre of nowhere. The little devil of a brother was running and screaming up ahead, while attempting to walk the circumference of the big rock. “Tommie act right, I warned.” Environments here were extremely harsh with hardly anything but soil-red, charcoal dust and rough supposedly green now yellow bushes. Climbing and crossing over the big red hump in the earth was considered disrespectful by the indigenous people so with respect to their ancestors the only way was to walk the 2 hour walk as aqua clear blue skies stared down among us and the harmful sun peered through the curtain of suffocating thick air.
