Forever wounded

You can be treated in hospital, but never cured. You can be helped by psychologists and prescribed medication, but never be cured. You still carry the scars on your body, in your mind and on your heart. You are taught techniques to block the pain and memories, but they are never completely gone. Every word, face and feeling still remains in the depths of your mind. All it takes is a simple word or sentence, similar face and feeling or smell to bring it all back. Physically you may seem cured but mentally the wound is forever open, forever bleeding and never healing.

They can discharge you but you'll never be the person you were. Only the person they made you become. It's like your life isn't yours, but theirs. Everything they did, everything they said changed everything about you.

As much as people shadow you with kind words, inspirational and motivational talks, nothing will take it all away and completely cure you of your past. No one can take back the words, the looks, the emotion.

People may tell me I'm wrong, but this is my opinion, these are my words and this is how bullying effected me. Once a mirror is broken, you can put it back together but you'll still see the cracks.
